Who Decides What Assessments Need To Be Done As Part Of The Initial Evaluation For Special Education Eligibility
The school districts evaluation group will decide. The assessments should provide the district with functional, developmental, and academic information about your student. If the district needs assessments from outside sources in order to conduct a comprehensive evaluation, such as medical or neurological information, it must ensure the outside assessments are conducted by qualified providers.

After we review your application and the information you provided, we may decide you do not meet the qualifications for disability benefits.
If you disagree with our decision, you have the right to ask us to look at your application again. The notice you receive from us that says you don’t qualify will explain how to appeal our decision and the time period in which you must make the request.

How Does Disability Work In Washington State

Applying For A Parking Permit
The applicant and a certifying medical professional must complete the application form. The applicant can submit the form by mail or deliver it to a vehicle licensing office. A receipt and disabled parking permit will be mailed as soon as the application is processed. An identification card should be received within 2-4 weeks. The medical professional must certify that the applicant meets at least one of the criteria on the states application.

Cognitive Intellectual Developmental Disability

Washington State Parks Discount Pass Rules And Expectations
Pass holder expectations:
- Do not alter or make copies of your pass. Never share your pass or pass number with others.
- Pass holders will be charged $15 to replace lost, stolen, or damaged passes.
- The pass does not provide discounts on annual permits, reservation fees, extra vehicle fees, roofed shelters, group camps or other services, except as noted.
- The pass cannot be used with any other pass or discount.
- The pass holder must cancel reservations if unable to use them.
- The pass holder must be camping and present at the site to receive a discount.
- The pass is only valid for the person it is issued to. The pass must be valid and physically with you during your visit. Be prepared to provide photo ID.
- All camping discounts and associated benefits are limited to the site the pass holder is camping in. Discounts and fee reductions are limited to 1 campsite or moorage site per night.
- Do not make duplicate or multiple reservations for the same night. Including double sites.
Park rules:
- Camping is limited to 10 consecutive nights at any single park from April 1 through Sept. 30, and 20 consecutive nights the rest of the year.
- Moorage is limited to three consecutive nights at any single park.
- Pass holders are expected to treat park staff with respect, always follow park rules and staff guidance.
Violations of these rules, or any other park rules, may result in pass benefit suspension or revocation. Must surrender pass upon request.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee signed a bill today that helps individuals with disabilities access their health care records. The bill allows individuals appealing a Social Security disability benefits decision to order one free copy of their medical record. Columbia Legal Services applauds the work of Representative Pat Sullivan who sponsored the bill and the Governor on this very important issue.
This bill will ensure that Washingtonians have the medical record information they need to support their federal disability benefits applications, said Ann LoGerfo, directing attorney of the Basic Human Needs Project at Columbia Legal Services. Too many low-income individuals with disabilities cannot access copies of their health care records because they are unable to afford the costly copying and retrieval fees. When the Social Security Administration makes a disability benefits decision based on incomplete medical records, it can cause unnecessary denials which delay the receipt of life-saving disability benefits for these low-income individuals.
