Universal Studios Hollywoods General Admission ticket costs between $110 and $125 per adult or $104 and $119 per child when purchased in advance.
All visitors ten years and above must purchase an adult ticket.
Weekends, holidays, and most July and early August have high prices, while weekdays and off-season have lower ticket prices.
The Express Ticket, which gets you express access to all rides, shows, and attractions, is priced at $189 on regular days and $259 on peak days.
Both the General Admission ticket and Express Ticket cost more at the gates.
Overview Of Universal’s Attraction Assistance Pass
Receiving help for a party member with a disability at a theme park can be stressful and frustrating. Luckily, most theme parks are making accommodations so that everyone in the family can still enjoy the fun on vacation! Since we’ve touched up on Disney’s Disability Access Services Card, we wanted to provide information on Universal’s Attraction Assistance Pass. If you’re heading to the Universal Orlando Resort, this post has answers to some of the questions you might have. We’ll also discuss some changes post COVID-19, such as the revamped Virtual Line for some attractions and how that affects the Attraction Assistance Pass.
Most of the below information applies to Universal Studios Hollywood as well, but there are some slight differences. The attractions do vary. How Do I Contact Universal About My Specific Disability
In some circumstances, especially those involving complicated issues or if you just feel it would be difficult to discuss the situation while in an open lobby setting you might consider requesting the assistance of Guest Services in advance of your visit. Contact should be made within 30 days of your arrival date, either by phone or by sending an email to . Reaching out any time before the 30-day window risks any accommodations that are offered possibly not being available in the system when you arrive in the parks.
If you have purchased Express Passes or are staying at one of the Universal Orlando hotels that offer them as a perk in lieu of a disability pass, you will also need to request a Virtual Line reservation to nab a spot at Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Pteranodon Flyers, or The Bourne Stuntacular .

What About Stairs In Ride Queues At Universal Orlando
The following rides utilize stairs as part of their queue experience, but elevators are available and may be used by any guest with mobility or health-related issues simply speak with a team member, who will help you find the closest one. Entrances to shows will be marked with universal handicapped/disabled signs use these if you cant climb or descend stairs.
Some attractions load guests from both sides of a ride vehicle. This usually means that the queues will have stairs that may go over the ride track, so you may need the use of the elevator. Those who do use the elevator are automatically sent to the side of the track that doesnt need to use steps. If you cant climb/descend stairs or are using a wheelchair, ECV, or stroller with a stroller as a wheelchair card, make sure you inform the employee that you will need to return from the same side of the track from which you are boarding. This is also important if you have parked your ride outside the building, as they wont have any way of knowing you will need this assistance.
On all rides, make sure the attendant knows youll need your wheelchair/stroller on the platform for use when you disembark the ride vehicle.

How Do You Qualify For The Universal Studios Military Discount
The Universal Studios military discount is open to all active duty and retired U.S. military personnel.
The discount is available year round, and not just limited to certain seasons or blackout dates.
In order to qualify Universal Studios mentions that you must serve as active duty , retiree, 100% disabled veteran, or Medal of Honor recipient.

The military discount is also available to military spouses and dependents so long as they have a verifiable military ID.
The discounted tickets are much better value if you go through a participating military base compared to the actual ticket office at Universal Studios.
The official box office of Universal Studios will only grant you $3 off each ticket, which is pretty lousy.

Consider Purchasing The Express Pass At Universal Studios Hollywood
Speaking of the Express Pass at Universal Studios Hollywood, do you want to reduce the amount of time that you and your family wait in line for rides and other attractions? If your answer is Yes!, then youll definitely want to consider purchasing the Express Pass. The express pass is not included in the price of general admission. However, the express pass basically operates like a front of the line pass and its a game changer, especially if you have only one day to spend at Universal Studios Hollywood, or if youre traveling with children. When evaluating if you should purchase an express pass, though, youll want to consult with a crowd calendar. Also, if you plan on being in the theme park for more than a day, then I dont think the express pass is needed. Youll want to keep in mind, though, that if you dont purchase the express pass in advance, its quite possible that the express pass will cost more the day you visit, and theres a possibility that the express passes will be sold out. Can I Use A Das At Special Ticketed Event Parties
Sometimes Disney closes down a park and throws a special ticketed event party, like Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party or Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. They do not have Genie+ during these events, and during these parties, the official policy has been that guests can not use a DAS, but thats recently been changed.
Now weve been getting feedback that Disney has been allowing the DAS to be used during these special ticketed event parties. Weve even recently seen a note that someone received from Disney saying that the DAS would be available during the Halloween party .
Another tip: Usually guests of the special ticketed events are allowed to arrive early. For parties that start at 7 PM guests may be allowed to enter at 4 PM. For after hours events that start at 9 pm or 9:30 guests have been reporting that they can enter at 7 PM. You can enjoy the park while the park is still open to the regular guests who are there for the day. When you go early, youll be able to get a DAS, and the DAS will be usable until the park closes down for the special ticketed event party.

How The Aap Works At Universal Orlando
As far as I know, AAP is not able to be reserved in advance, so get to the park early to beat the line at Guest Relations. You can use the Universal Orlando app to easily find guest service locations (under the Menu scroll down to Guest Services, expand it, then select Guest Service Locations. We only had to go to guest services once, as our AAP was good for all four days of our vacation. Party size is limited to five guests plus the AAP holder.
To use the AAP, approach the Team Member at the entrance to an attraction. If the posted wait time is under 30 minutes, theyll scan your pass and youll join the Universal Express queue . If the standby line is longer than 30 minutes, youll be given a return time. You can come back to the attraction any time after your return time . Once you return to the attraction, you will still have to wait in however long the Express line is at that point.
You can only have one return time for an attraction at a time. If you have a return time, you can still use the pass for Express lane access for any attraction with a wait time of less than 30 minutes. If it sounds complicated, dont worry, its not once you get the hang of it.
What If More Than One Person In Your Party Needs A Das
Each person that needs a DAS can have one. The others in your party can be linked to each DAS holder. Theres no limit to how many DAS holders they can be linked to. This way the non-DAS using members of your party can go on rides and attractions with any of the DAS holders. However a person with a DAS can not be linked to another person with a DAS. Also a person linked to a DAS holder can only be included in one return time at a time.

The first thing youll want to do if youre considering a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood is check the travel requirements by clicking here for up-to-date information. During my familys last visit, my husband and I were required to show proof of our vaccination. Masks were also required of all guests inside the theme park, both indoors and outdoors. However, restrictions at Universal Studios Hollywood have changed and proof of vaccination is no longer required. And masks are no longer required, although there is a note on the website indicating that face coverings are strongly recommended for all guests indoor.
Guests With Visual Disabilities
Both large print and Braille dialogue and print are available for loan at guest relations to assist access to Universal Studios for guests with disabilities. If youre planning to ride the Studio Tour tram, only the large print dialogue scripts are available. But various show locations offer both:
- DreamWorks Theater Featuring Kung Fu Panda
- Special Effects Show
- Universal Animal Actors.
Guests with white canes can usually fold up and store the cane on the attraction or the attraction attendant can hold on to it during the ride.

Eligibility For A Das Pass Is Based Upon A Guests Need Not Their Diagnosis
Cast Members will not ask for proof of a disability, but will inquire about the type of accommodations you are requesting because of your disability or condition.
The person with the disability must be present to obtain the pass and will have their picture taken. This is true whether you are pre-registering from home via video chat or registering at Guest Relations.
The DAS will be added to your My Disney Experience account, and you will be able to access it through the same app you use for Mobile Order and dinner reservations.
You will only need to do this process once as its good across parks for the length of your stay, up to 60 days. 60 days of eligibility is also the length for Annual Passholders.
Its important to note that you can have family members and others traveling with you on the pass as well . As long as your party is 6 or less, and you are linked together as Friends and Family in My Disney Experience, not everyone must be present in person when the pass is obtained.
If you have more than 6 people, you will need to visit Guest Relations to inquire about adding additional people to the pass. This is at the discretion of a supervisor and is not guaranteed.
Other Special Package Offers For Military
They also offer specific vacation packages such as the Military Create Your Own package, starting at $89 per person, per night, based on a family of four. This includes the hotel of your choice and customizing your theme park admission.
They also have The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Package for $85 a night.
In addition, they offer a 40% discount at Universals Cabana Bay Beach Resort, and 30% off of other Universal hotels.

Stay At A Hotel Near Universal Studios Hollywood
If youre not local to the area, youll want to book a hotel near Universal Studios Hollywood. During our visit to Universal Studios Hollywood, my family and I used our points to stay at a Hyatt nearby. Because we are World of Hyatt members, we received complimentary breakfast during our stay. We didnt mind driving to and from the theme park, especially since its not too far away, and because we had free nights to use or lose. However, if we hadnt used our points, we would have chosen to stay at a hotel even closer to Universal Studios Hollywood, like the Hilton Universal City Hotel or Loews Hollywood Hotel.
What Happens If I Miss My Das Return Time
Although you cant be early, your DAS return time does not expire. It will remain active until you use it or until the park closes. However, keep in mind that as long as you have an unused DAS pass on your account you wont be able to get a new one.
If you decide that you no longer wish to ride, you will need to ask a Cast Member at an attraction to cancel it for you.

The Importance Of Rest With Crohn’s Or Uc
Resting is very important. Back in 2011, I went to Universal Orlando a few weeks after getting out of the hospital, and when I was still in a pretty bad flare up and I was also underweight. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty weak and having a lot of trouble walking around and doing things.
One of the things we did was spend 1/2 the day at the park and then go back to the hotel for a few hours so I could lay down and rest and then we went back to the park in the evening and I was feeling a lot more capable of completing the day.
Its important to remember and accept your current limitations and adjust your expectations accordingly. The park has a lot of benches to sit down on which is nice so that you can take little breaks.
Universal Studios Hollywood Attraction Assistance Pass For Invisible Disabilities
Our friend Adam falls into the category of special needs that aren’t visible to others. We hopped along with him on his trip to Universal Studios Hollywood to learn about the process of acquiring and using the AAP card. He has no mobility issues, but he has some nonphysical disabilities, plus he does not sweat. You might think that is a good thing, but it means he has to be careful that he does not overheat and pass out.
The AAP helped Adam stay cool, but we learned that it’s best to follow some tips and strategies when using it. He carries a spray bottle with him. In between ride times, he makes frequent visits to the fountains to cool off. He also got a good soaking on Jurassic World The Ride to keep him cool in the Lower Lot on a hot summer day. For the most part, the AAP helped meet his emotional and physical needs so he could have a toadally great time. Chances are, you may need to make some accommodations of your own to support the person in your group, whether that’s noise-cancelling headphones or watching ride videos on our YouTube channel so you know what to expect.

How Does The 2023 Universal Studios Disability Pass Work
So, how exactly does the Disability Pass at Universal work? Once your Universal Studios Disability Pass has been issued, youre ready to start heading over the attractions to get your day started. All attractions at Universal Orlando are ADA compliant, therefore, you can use your Universal Guest Assistance Pass at any of them for accommodations. If you have any issues or questions about individual attractions, such as stair access or ride car accessibility, Team Members at the attractions will be able to assist.
There are some important details to note when it comes to actually using your pass, and that is specifically true when utilizing it on days when there are Virtual Queues offered.
Using The Disability Access Service Process At Walt Disney World
There have been many changes in the past few months to the My Disney Experience app. I am not a fan of some of the changes, which worried me about the changes coming to the Disability Access Service system. Recently at Hollywood Studios, I used my DAS pass, learned the new ways to book return times through the app, and spoke to Guest Relations about the video chat feature.

What If I Need Additional Accommodations
Disney realizes that this DAS system may not be the complete answer for every guest. Whether or not you have a DAS, you can discuss your needs with a Cast Member at each attraction. Weve found Disney World to be very accommodating. Cast Members will try to help if they can. For example they may be able to slow down or stop a moving walkway, or help you get a seat in a certain location such as near the stage. Heres an example:
My wife has difficulty transferring into a manual wheelchair from her scooter because she finds it painful on her back. We really enjoy Buzz Lightyear in Magic Kingdom, but youre required to transfer from the scooter to a wheelchair to enter the queue. The last several times weve gone we explained the problem. Theyve allowed her to park her scooter outside, right by an entrance that leads directly to the ride cars. She is then able to walk the short distance to the ride cars without having to transfer to the manual wheelchair.
Be prepared to explain your additional needs briefly to the Cast Member at the individual attraction.
