The Department for Work and Pensions will send your Personal Independence Payment application to Social Security Scotland.

  • make a decision about your application

You’ll get your payments from the date you applied for Personal Independence Payment , if your application is successful.

You do not need to complete a separate Adult Disability Payment application.

The base application for Social Security Disability is the SSA-16-BK, while the base application form for Supplemental Security Income disability is the SSA-8000-BK.
